Unique Places to Eat You Want to Try in Cocoa Beach, Florida

Did you know that in the U.S. more than 70% of the restaurants belong to chains? If independent restaurants want to survive they have to stand out with good and specialized menues. Are you looking for unique experiences when dining out – something you would not find everywhere?

These are our recommendations for Cocoa Beach (Florida) and the Space Coast, the places we found and love. They are a bit different and offer a unique experience.

Fat Snook

Dinner table with food and wine at the Fat Snook in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

The Fat Snook is just a one minute walk down our street. Being ranked as one of the Space Coast’s top restaurants it has exceptional seafood and is a place for a special occasion. You should make a reservation.

Florida’s Fresh Grill

Chicken based salad at Florida's Fresh Grill in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Being located in a strip mall, Florida’s Fresh Grill does not look that impressive from the outside. However the inside is really nice and the food is exceptional. My favorite is Shelly’s Chicken.

Da Kine Diego’s

For a different take on Mexican food head to Da Kine Diego’s. This surf style shack offers tasty Burritos and Tacos with special flavors and their large variety of self-made hot sauces. It is also a nice place to visit with kids. For other family friendly restaurants please have a look at this post.

Sandbar

The Sandbar is a typical sports bar. They have some unique items on the menu like their famous fish tacos.

Lou’s Blues, Indiatlantic

Margerita at Lou's Blues in Indiatlantic, Florida,

It is south of Cocoa Beach but worth to mention. Lou’s Blues is the place for live music but also for good bar food (right on the beach). Try the Blues Burger.

What is your choice?

For sure there are many other great restaurants in the area. What would you recommend?
